Brave New World: Technology

For English class we are supposed to write a blog about what technology we rely on in today's world and if there are advantages or dangers from relying on this technology.  The most important form of technology that the majority of the world relies on every day would have to be the light bulb.  It is the most simple of all the new technology we have in the recent centuries but yet so important.  We rely on light every day to go through our daily routines and to be productive in life.  Just imagine if one day, no companies made any more light bulbs.  You would not be able to drive at night, you would not even be able to go anywhere at night, you would have to work in a building with windows all over it during the day, you would not be able to do much until about 7 A.M-7 P.M.  You would have pretty limited hours of work.  People would riot and there would be chaos if there were no lights in today's world.  The entire population relies heavily on this very simple form of technology.
